Which stereo encoder?

Many kit manufacturers might still have some old BA1404 ICs and might still sell you a kit with one.
I wonder if there are any fake BA1414 ICs that are made and sold today?
 

I will not post any more hopless circuits. Seems that they are everywhere on the net these days. I did buy a couple of BA1404s and they are crap. No matter though. Thanks to you guys for the help, I actually learned a bit from your responses and I'll just experiment with some circuits and see what I can come up with!
