Which Slope for the linear modeling of VCO?

Which VCO Slope ?

Hi all,


Which slope have I to consider for the linear modeling of this VCO: Slope 1 or Slope 2 ?
In fact the choice is critical coz the VCO model will be used to model a linear PLL.
I guess that the Slope 1 is to be used coz the PLL will lock at the central frequency for which Slope 1 represents the real frequency behavior of the VCO vs voltage control.

Is my choice (and justification) true ?

I agree with your reasoning. Slope 1 should be used, for the reasons you mentioned.
