which release version should I use?

which release version should I use?

Nowday the EDA vendors release there tools updates nearly every month. such as SOC42_USR2/ SOC42_USR6.. SOC52_U3, Primetime2005.12 Primetime2005.12-sp2

In there release notes, there always said which bug has been fixed, sound promissing. But, after one month or two, there are new bugs coming out.

My question is quite clear, where have review articals about the different release of particuliar tools on such topics as speed/performance/bug-free. any suggestion ?
