I am trying to repair an 10 year old remote that works perfectly fine except some of the membrane switches have stopped working. I contact the company and they want $169 for a replacement remote.

I guess over time the metal has experienced fatigue, as it is no longer "popping up".

Anyone know where I can buy these metal membrane switches? I have taken apart a few old remotes but most everything I can find uses rubber and the point of contact is generally much smaller. Duo to the design of the remote the switches do need some flex to push the button back up, so I don't think rubber would work.

Thanks!

Maybe you can search for "metal dome switch suppliers" there appears to be quite a few of them around.

First two companies from google search:

https://www.clik-domes.com/

The first link from google (for me) was an alibaba link that brought up a bunch of various metal dome switches from various storefronts.
