Bias voltage of the LNA?

Dear all,

Actually, the LNA transistor should bias at the linear region or the saturation region?

As I know, the transistor in the linear region, it could give out a high gain and low linearity. If the transistor in the saturation region, it could give out a low gain and high linearity. Am I right? Also, why the linearity will like this?

Best Regards

Re: Bias voltage of the LNA?

u must have the MOS in sat region as only then can u use the usual model for acheving the input impedance matching.

Re: Bias voltage of the LNA?

saturation will make your LNA stable because it's current and other parameters are fixed!

better bias the LNA at saturate region!
