Where is the date of first installation stored in WinXp ?

a doubt

Hi,
I had installed trial version of a game in WinXp, whose validity time expired some time back. When i tried to reinstall the same, i got an error "License expired, please register". I, then removed all the registry entry for the game, again tried to install. Still getting the same error.
I was just wondering, where they will be maintaining the info regarding first time installation of the software. Can anybody please answer this?
