be more precise :?
which app/device/ ?
do u want information about PIC PWM generation (soft or embedded hard ?)
etc etc

I want to know global application , I want to know , where to work with pwm ? ( sorry about my bad english ) , like introduction about PWM.

I want to work with AVR PWM.

thanks

Re: About PWM

I have only seen this used in servo systems and low power, low cost audio like the PIC application mentioned above.

As far as books are concerned, it is sometimes a section of a chapter in a communication theory book or a book on Fourier analysis.

Re: About PWM

hi
PWM is a +/- repetitive pulse, so it can be used in many apps, like servocontrol or programmable pulse generator
sorry i dont know very well AVRs, i prefer PICs

It's is essentially used to control system with a very low timing response : that means (for instance) motors and much more mechanical system with low physical response to a given signal..., thus, the low response system see the signal not as a successive high and low state, but see it like its means value :

a 50% PWM (Freq = 10kHz, low=0V, high=5V for instance) signal is seen like a 2.5V for a system that
cannot follow signal @10Khz.

but it can be used in power supply (buck power supply, boost and flyback...) for the control of the output voltage.

much more applications exist but the PWM is independent of the target you use (AVR or PIC) : the mechanisms are always the same :

frequency
low value
time low
high value
time high

bye

Re: About PWM

Look my avatar, this is PWM signal and modulated by triangle wave.
Average of this PWM same as triange wave form.

You can use the PWM, If you need variable current or volatage.

Forexample motor speed, heater control....

Re: About PWM

Here is a short article about PWM:

**broken link removed**

hope this helps you to understand how it is working ...
