Rubber coating??

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can get (or if it actually exists) a paint-on, or spray-on rubber coating for control knobs, or surfaces? What I'm really after is the feel of Laptop touchpads. Also, its the same stuff that mechanical mouse balls are covered with. Soft, and easy to grip, but not a 'shiney' rubber. I think thats silicone rubber, but I can't be sure.

I've got some knobs for pots/encoders where I need extra grip, and not a cold, hard plastic or metal feel. I've looked into 'plasti-dip', and it looks promising, but I can't help feeling that it would feel more like a 'smooth' rubber, than the lovely rough surface you get on touchpads. I'm sure it must be available somewhere, since almost everything nowdays, thats designed to be 'held' has this coating, where a simple 'rubber sleeve' won't do. Pretty sure its silicone rubber.

Any hints, help, advice, experiences are welcome.
