What is a Q point?

Im designing a band pass filter at 868 Mhz using 0.5 moron CMOS technology.

I have discovered that my Q point is 10^4. Can it be implimented at such a high Q. Whats the relation of Q point and frequency?

Anyone can help me with these questions ?

Re: What is a Q point?

It is not called as Q point.

We define "Q" or "Quality factor" of a band pass filter.

Q of a band pass filter or a band stop filter =

Center frequency of the band / the -3dB Band width of your filter

I am myself working on a high Q filter using CMOS....I am using a 0.18um tech and as far as my knowledge goes I dont think it is possible to make a Q of 10^4 in CMOS using even compensation methods!!!!
