cds_root

Hi,

I wanna know the purpose of those files in $CDS_ROOT/tools/dfII/etc/tools, they're so important? Since I use cadence for solaris and linux at the same time, I have to use the same .cdsinit file, but the edition in solaris is 4.45 and linux is 5.0.33, it seems like I'm using the .cdsinit for 5.0.33, so that I met some error. After I found the matter, I copy those increased files in $CDS_ROOT/tools/dfII/etc/tools to 4.45 edition. Is it proper to do so? Now I met some strange questions, sometimes my layout maybe changed automatically and I cannot find the reason. What's the matter?

Those are tools environment setting. You shouldn't mix them between two versions.
Check you icxx script. Version setting may be wrong for sun and linux.
