Guys,

What's the name of isolator cover on PCB ?
the green color paint ?
Can I buy it from bunning ?
Can it resist heat ?
I can see it as an isolator paint with green /blue /red color for PCB ...
Where can I buy it ?

Thanks for the info mates

Its solder mask.

But solder mask will not protect whole PCB, soldering points and holes are still unprotected. Solder mask is mainly used to control flow of soldering material. I never use solder mask for DIY. I use clear laquir material for complete PCB including all parts on both sides of PCB, and for controling soldering material I use Kapton tape (picture in post #6 in this thread: https://www.edaboard.com/threads/293279/).

Best regards,
Peter

another advantage of having this solder mask is that you are protected by the current shock since it insulates your tracks ....!!!

Ahem... "Solder Resist"....

Often referred to as a "Solder Resist Mask" and shortened to solder mask.

The PCB industry is full of terms that are the same thing and are often all quoted in the same documents because the author has not been consistent.

One of the above 2 articles are examples of this.

It should NOT be relied upon for this purpose.

As Matt has stated and I want to reiterate, Solder Mask/Resist does not offer any electrical isolation, you have to treat everything as if it was bare copper. To provide electrical isolation you require a conformal coating.

are there any links on how to use soldermask myself ? DIY soldermask? thanks

You can apply soldermask as dry film or liquid 2-component lacquer. I don't think that it's particularly suited for DIY.
