I want to konw the max current density of metal.
but I can not find the document.
how to get the doc?
could anybody tell me the rules.
the process is SMIC 0.18 RF

Max current density

It is better to check design rule document from foundry. For example, the top metal current density will be different from that of other metal lays. Sometimes, thick metal option will make difference.

Hi yhq0413

In the design rule file, look for EM data. The table would provide you current density related info.

Max current density

in XFAB 018um poly and all metals 1mA/um
vias 0.28ma/via
top via 0.70ma/via
I think that SMIC 018 has the same conditions

Max current density

It should be written in you PDK....search for the current density table.
