integration of( e^x2)...does it have an integration?

Re: integration

According to integrals.com it's

Sqrt[Pi] Erfi[x]
----------------
2

where Erfi is the imaginary error function.

Re: integration

I dont believe there is a nice closed form integral for exp(x^2). So you will have to resort to numerical integration. However if you are in need or integrating a gaussian follow this link as it provides the proof as well.

integration

Use Matlab and type

syms y x
y = int(exp(x^2))

u'll get

-1/2*i*pi^(1/2)*erf(i*x)

wich erf is the error function, ..

Hope it Works, ..
