What's the best condition for getting the best ADC readings?

When using an ADC of a microcontroller, what would be the best conditions to get the best reading. Eg. What osc. would be best and would another osc. on the same board give allot of noise.

Sampling frequency is ADC dependent, ADC inputs have to be shieleded by a ground island. even the track resistance can induce an error

you can use adc0809 work about 600khz, if you want a program example i have it to SDCC Compiler to wirk with 8051 microcontroller

u'll need to take care on both software and hardware sides. on software side , take readings samples and average out for proper reading.

if u are using ADC 0808 then it needs 500khz..also if u are interfac with microcontroller 89c51,then from the ALE pin u can take the clock and divide the clock using some flipflop and make 500kz.

Hai...if u want accurate results for ADC try to get more samples and take the average of that..I hope it would be better instead of taking one value and starting calculations
