I am trying to build universal flash cable for mobile phone through RS232 port, i found LG GD75323D in an old modem can i used it instead of MAX232 and also is it somewhat same as Max232, please help me.

max232 gd75232

gd75323d is not pin-compatible with max232, but if you build this cable from scraches you can use max232 and replace each driver/receiver from the GD with driver/receiver from MAX.
Download GD's data sheet from here:

max232 9v

Dear IanP, I think that this GD75232 thing requires dual supply, is that right or not?

gd75323d max232

This GD thingf requires 3 voltages: Vdd(+9 nom), Vss(-9V nom) and standard Vcc (+5V), but if you replace it with MAX232 you will be using only single +5V.

@Bamdad
Yes it need dual supply.

Ok thanks to everybody for your help it pretty simple to use max232 but whats to do with this gd75323d chip.

replace max232 with gd75232

The best thing you can do about the gd75323d is to forget about it ..

gd75232 max232

Yes agreed, but I don't know why all the motherboard manufacturers use it as the serial port interface... it's also very sensitive to latch-up...
