Hi member,
How much time a PIC microcontroller clocked with a 4MHz Quarts can live if it work 24Hr/24Hr ?

I bought a 5 V clock based on a PIC and I think to change the led displays (using more big led driven by a ULN 2003). How many years it can live ?

Actually if it live less that 3 year I think it's better to buy a ready made one.

PIC Life ?

I have not done such a research on micros.

As per my experience i saw displays get damaged before micros.

LED display will typically fade to 50% brightness in 60 years. PIC program memory will be good for more than 40 years.

Please don't come back in 40 years and complain I was wrong - It's very unlikely I'll still be alive by then

Brian.
