Hi guys,

What is the meaning of a small 'form factor' antenna? Do you have any scientific definition of the 'form factor' of an antenna? For my understanding, a 'small form factor antenna' = 'small antenna'. Is that right? Tks.

Hi,

I think its any antenna with a compact size, very low profile, and probably in a shape according to the space requirements of the mounting area..!!

Form factor (radiative transfer) or emissivity, the proportion of energy transmitted by that object which can be transferred to another object.

I would class an antenna as electrically small if it (or its ground plane) was below 0.05 wavelength in size.
