What is the main goal of creating viruses?

what is the main motive of the virus.
why viruses are created. what is the advantages and dis advantages of viruses.

Well, there are viruses and there are also spy-wares, ad-wares and worms. Viruses harm your computer and they have different degrees, it could be a simple virus which will only slow your computer down or make the size of the files very big and it could be a dangers one that will kill your HD or your motherboard. Spy-wares are made to spy on you ……. For example steal files from your HD. Ad-ware is software like the ones forcing some inappropriate web sites on you …….. Or add such links to your favorites and so on. Worms are like viruses only they can copy themselves from a place to another so they are harder to detect and harder to remove. They can cause servers & networks to collapse.
All of these softwares are harmful so I don’t see any advantages for them. The people who create them are hackers and some times the companies who make the antivirus programs themselves …….. after all if there are no viruses they are out of business

Trivia: Did you just know that viruses are meant to protect data, yes they are, hackers in older days use viruses in orderd annoy data/info thieves and the like, but these days are different

well viruses are created so as to test the power of your windows or pc. viruses can help sometime because the manufaturers of the windows will try to create new and more powerful, and it benefites the users

there could literally be thousands of reasons why people creates viruses. just imagine being one, and the possibilities are endless. some may want to just show how good they are with computers.
