What is the justification to use RFCMOS vs normal digital CM

What is the justification to use RFCMOS vs normal digital CMOS if I doing 10GHz CDR clock and data recovery circuit. (processing digital NRZ signal in the phase detector)

Could anyone point out the reason of using RFCMOS.

I think the RFCMOS model is more accurate than the normal one but it takes much more simulation time.

what else? Should I go for RFCMOS or normal digital CMOS?
 

At that frequency I think you want not only RF models,
but to do close-coupled layout and schematic based sims
iteratively (with a high quality parasitic extraction).

There're bigger things to worry about than solution time, if
you're serious about a working product. For homework,
go ahead and pretend reality is similar to a "digital" model
and just discuss the expected discrepancies.

Does it mean postlayout run? I did.
