What is the importance of TWF file in SoC Encounter tool?

Could anyone plz tell me what is the inportance of TWF file in Soc encounter tool?
 

timing window file twf

TWF contains timing window & slew data .
Tools find the earliest & latest arrival times for each victim net & aggressor net.The range of switching times from earliest to latest arrival,defines a timing window for victim net & defines another timing timing window for aggressor net.Crosstal effects occur when victim & aggressor windiws overlap.

Hi Asha,
What is the STA tool you are using ?
Refer STA tool manual to write twf from the tool..
say in ETS wrtite_twf will write out twf file. Inputs are spef and libs
