What is the difference in xbee pro and xbee series 2

What is the difference between Xbee pro and Xbee series 2. As I am doing my final year project using Xbee. The only difference in them is with their range? Or is their any other differences rather than that.? I am using it to send data over some range..! My project is smart shopping cart using Xbee and RFID.
