I read it somewhere,
but ... a hole is some empty space (lack of electrons in a grid), where "normally" electron resides... and their moevement is nothing else but movement of electrons.... so how can there be a difference??

i read it too. the explanation is also on that forum. in a phsicist's point of view, holes don't really move.

anyway according to Dirac's theory of what are the holes ... how is it possible that holes are slower (or anyhow different in sense of movement)?

npn is best because current is flow due to electron as electron mobility is getter than hole.

mobility of electrons is nine times faster than holes...Hence NPN is prevalant than PNP
