Hi,

What is pad stack and its usage? It sounds that it is referring to the stacks of pads, i.e., metal1 to the top metal. What's the difference between just pad and pad stack?
Any figures...any slides...books...are welcome!
Definately, your valuable answers are welcome!!

Best,
B

Re: pad stack

It is simple. Bond(test) pad stack is the list of layers which necessarily should be in structure bond(test) pads. For example from XFAB XC06 Design Rule:

"Bond pad or test pad stack: POLY1 / CONT / MET1 / VIA / MET2. The use of POLY1 and CONT at test PAD is optional."
