Hello friends
can anyone know what is mean by triplex LVDT?
If anyone gone throgh this one. please give me some guidance, or provide me some notes on this

please help me
Thank you friends

Hello,

it could mean mean triplex inputs to the control system, it could mean triplex windings etc. Maybe the information on the website waycon.biz can give you further infor's on LVDT.

Hope I could help. :)

Thank you whitemint
Actually triplex LVDT means, 3 different LVDTs used for extractin the same data. Its a redundant LVDT. The control will take either of one LVDT output for controlling the system.
It would normally be used as the term “triplex redundant LVDT”, and means that there are three LVDTs measuring the same parameter. An associated logic algorithm determines how the data are used. For example, the logic could comprise the following decisions:

1)the average of the three LVDT readings becomes the reading used.
2)all three readings must be within 2% of the average, or else there is an error generated.
3)if an error is generated, until the system is shut down, the reading used can be the average of the two LVDTs reading the closest to each other.

Other algorithms are possible.
