What is GGC in Linux and how to configure it?

Can anyone explain what is a ggc in linux and how to configure it, the problem is while loading the drivers(network) intel 100 by name its asking for gcc not installed

how can i tackle now?

GCC, the GNU Compiler Collection, includes front ends for C, C++, Objective-C,

install: cd-rom of linux or
search rpm: http://rpm.pbone.net

The Linux distributions include GCC. You could add gcc option even if you installed the Linux.
