There two keywords for Differential Phase Shift Keying, i.e. Differential and PSK.
PSK is a kind of digital modulation which is the information is transmitted by varying the phase of a certain waveform (e.g. rectangular or sinusoid).
Differential means that the digital information to be transmitted is based on the difference between the current value and the previous one. For example: the original binary sequence (1)1101001 could be differentially coded into 0011101. The coding is based on rules that if the current bit is the same as the previous one, then transmit 0, but if different then transmit 1.
