Q: What is Auto-Sensing MDI/MDIX?
A: Auto-Sensing MDI/MDIX means that every port on the switch will automatically detect the Ethernet cable type being used (straight-through or crossover) and adjust to make a link over that cable. This means that the days of having to figure out which cable to use are gone. This is a massive improvement over previous hubs and switches where this functionality was only available on one hub/switch port through the manual operation of a mechanical switch (MDI/MDIX switch or Uplink switch).
Does that mean that RX and TX pairs can now be changed and the hardware in the switch will configure itself automatically as which pair is RX and which pair is TX.
How about the polarity of the wires. For example, inside the RX pair, if we reverset the connections (change orange with orange-white), does it still work.

Yes, RX and TX pairs detected automatically
About polarity, it depends of realization (and it may working only on RX pair !) ..... ???
Better use right polarity cables, but you do not nead diferent cambles ( normal and crossover (X-cable) ).
