the vibrometer is a device wich measure a short range vibration of a mecanical device part.
due to it's requested precision, the most used vibration detection method is a doppler laser radar, which measure in real time mechanical low range deviation on 1 direction.
if you combine 3 radar doppler systems you could measure 3D vibration of the target.
