Oscilloscope Questions

I'm in the market for an oscilloscope, and am wondering what features should I be looking for. I'm just a beginner. So this would be my first O-scope although I'm aquainted with them.

Our laboratories use 100Mhz but these may be out of my price range. 50-60 Mhz 2-channel O-scopes seem to meet my price criteria. What do you think?

Re: Oscilloscope Questions

If your budget is limited you can always browse online auctions for a Tektronix 465-100MHz, or 475-200MHz scope. There still seem to be plenty of these old scopes available at good prices. They are very good scopes. Sometimes you can even pick up combi scopes digital-analog like the 468 at a steal. Tek 453's-50MHz I regularly see for around $50

I am a Tek fan but there are other good 2nd hand scopes by Gould, Kenwood and Philips to name a few.
