hi all

whats this bus speed??????

i heard that RDRAM has a bus speed of 800 mhz ............what does this mean ??
is it a rate of data transfer??and if its a rate of data transfer why is it not specified as bytes or bits/sec?

what is clock speed of a processor?
like in a P3 2.5ghz what does this 2.5 ghz mean???master clock frequency?/

plz explain in detail

Re: bus speed

hi
if you have two prallel wire it have a verey verey small capacitance effect. if you inject a dc current to it, all current recieve to the end.

and if a low ferq sine wave injected , a part of it will be leaked thorough (smal)cap.

if ferg incrace then Xc=1/(ωc) will be decrace. its min capacitor is shorted for high ferq.
it is true fo a bus .if ferq incrace ,no signal maybe recieve in the end side.

Re: bus speed

thanks for the explanation

plz clarify the RAM case also
