what is the speciality in the name tag "solid state" electronics or "solid state" device

tht wht "solid state" refers to

Here is very general definition:

Most known and used solid-state devices are solid state relays. They do not have contacts (usually use triacs or back-to-back thyrystors) and are turned on and of at "zero crossing" - no voltage and no current, in teory that is.

solid state circuite or devices reffers to because of this circuits produced on the substrates.
this substrates are common solid.

the contact made with electron within solid devices such as silicon or germanium, olso there is definition about solid state radio, what is thi definition refer to?

IanP 's is the perfect answer for this question!
In control device electrons flows thro' vacuume --> Tubes circuits --> Tubes Radio/TV
In contol devices electrons flows thro' solids (si, ge) --> Solid state elsectronics --> Solid State Radio/TV

Hi Friend,

Before the invention of these devices the early people used vaccum tubes which are empty. But these are well defined solid electron transferring devices. So, they are called so.
