what does 1k5 mean

Hi,
in a schematic i found , the resistor is noted 1k5 and 1k0. what does this mean??thanx

schematic 1k5

the resistors have various value and usually its value have too long to write
exactly.

so we can display this values in short-form. K means 1,000. therfore, 1K5 means 1500 ohm resistor.

in the same way, 1k0 means 1000 ohm resistor.

Just want to add that decimal point is too small and can be easy erased from resistor body, therefore k is placed on its place.
