SOI terminal

hi,

i have seen that netlist of SOI devices have 5 terminal.
please tell me except D,G,S what other 2 terminal are ?

any good link for reading on soi details would be apprecited ...

SOI terminal

SOI is weird. They use the other terminals for isolation and temperature of the individual devices, I think.

You can get the documentation from Berkeley

SOI terminal

Devices can be placed in the same trench. The extra pin is this common trench potential. A four terminal MOS turns into a five terminal.

SOI terminal

They can actually have 7 nodes, one of which is "temperature"!

Mname <D node> <G node> <S node> <E node> [P node]
[B node] [T node]

As I said earlier SOI is weird (at least the models are) :)

Keith.
