What "100 mV Step with 100 mV Overdrive" mean?

Hi,
I found there is a specification of "response time" or "rise time" with the test condition of "100 mV Step with 100 mV Overdrive" in the datasheet of the comparator.

Anyone would pls. tell me what it mean?

Usually it is 100mV step with 5-20mV overdrive ..

Step represents the voltage change necessary to switch the input differential stage fully from one state to the other ..

To understand what an overdrive is read the following quotation:

Comparator's specifications usually include graphs of response time for various input overdrives .. see picture below ..
