smps clock generator

Dear All :

I work on Buck regulator ,I need to design clock generator in my circuit . What's structure is good ? Ring oscillator , or R,C delay clock , Thanks

If you just need a clock, you can use one CMOS 4093 and one resistor and one capacitor in addition. The possibilities are numerous, this one is both cheap and simple.

IMHO,

ring oscillator is more simple.
RC oscillator is more flexible.

I think all of SMPS Controller ICs have clock generators, currently up to 1 MHz frequency range.
if u need a central clock for module synchronization, u can use one SMPS Controller IC as master and other as slave!
BTW, most of commercial SMPS ICs use relaxation oscillators constructed with a schmitt triger, acapacitor and a resistor (resistor is normally replaced by a current source to generate more ideal saw tooth waveform and higher quality and more linear PWM).

BEST!
