waveguide discontinuities

Hi,

I am currently studying microwave filters, multiplexers for satellite communications, I want to use full wave modeling. I am aslo studying waveguide discontinuities particularly a rectangular to circular transition. I am using Fortran, which I think is the best language for that.

Does anyone knows a good resource for numerical methods in electromagnetics for these applications?

I recommend either CST Microwave Studio for doing wide-frequency sweep or Ansoft HFSS for complicated port structures such as coplanar type.

Maybe you can find sth here:
h**p://emlib.jpl.nasa.gov/

download the book "microwave engineering using the microstrip"

These couple articles might be useful :

Also check the references inside...
