Want to be embedded Professional

Hi All

I am PCB layout Design Engineer having 3 years of experience ,I have doen Btech in Electronic & Instrumentation .I want to be an embedded Professional. Could any body suggest me how can i become an embbeded professional and how should i start?


Also please sugest some books

Well, first you need the base knowledge in algorithms and data struct, one or two low/middle level language like C/C++ (ADA is a plus too), and finishing, know one uC/uP architecture like ARMx or MIPS...

Then, buy one development kit and start develop fews code pieces...

Microcontrollers
Device Drivers/EmbC/VoIP..
As my knowledge....now..difficulty...situation there r openings...on Java,.Net & Embedded Professional's....best of luck...

Concentrate on C,Linux-kernel,DeviceDrivers 60% effort...for..golden future
