The TL1963 linear regulator says it can withstand its vout being greater than its vin, but doesn’t say by how much this is acceptable.
Do you know?
I mean, if Vin = 0V, and Vout = 5V, then is that OK?

Hi,

Datasheet says:

Section "Absolute maximum ratings". Table "Input voltage, VIN"
row "Input-to-output differential(2)": it says +/- 20V.
(Read comment (2))

Therefore: if V-In = 0V then the output can go up to 20V.
