Hi

Please suggest some high end softwares for VLSI simulation and chip designing.

Since I don't know what 'chip design' you mean by, all I can suggest is go to Synopsys or Cadence or Magma website and search what you want.

For logic simulation, the choice is between VCS and ncverilog, I guess.

for VLSI chip designing at home u cant use cadence probably bcz u cant get license,u can use microwind.for logic simulation DSCH is good.but cadence virtuoso or spectra is best if u get it.

Actually you can find candence IC610 IUS82(linux)license easily.

I have used microwind, but dint like it.

So I am looking something similar from Cadence.
