I am controlling a 2 hp motor through vfd
Can I use a sheald cable to connect the motor from vfd and earth the sheald.
Will this reduce the noise in the wire

Shielded cable for VFD driven motors is industry standard, using emc cable glands at both ends, connecting shield directly to inverter metal case and motor terminal box.

Hi,

on NOT_Filtered VFD outputs the shielded cable adds parallel capacitance. This increases switching currents .. current spikes in the cable.
Thus VFDs may limit the length of shielded cables. --> read the documentation
