Velocity of mechanical waves

the velocity equation has too many parameters to consider like input energy, amplitude, density of medium etc... it is generally tabulated for mechanical wave like sound....
i'm not that sure of a equation to characterise it....

It depends on the density of medium in wich mechanical wave is propagating.
