VC$ runing error on ubuntu 6.06

I have installed vc$ 7.2 on ubuntu 6.06, but when launch it, there's error:

/home/aking/syn0psys/vc$/bin/vc$: line 11069: unexpected EOF while looking for matching ``'
/home/aking/syn0psys/vc$/bin/vc$: line 11086: syntax error: unexpected end of file

How to solve this problem?
