Hi Everyone,

I am currently working on a project that requires a device that centres around the use of a Variable Frequency Drive or (VFD) and its ability to receive and process a Ripple Control Signal via a certain frequency to simply turn off and on.

I am not up to speed with PLC programming and was wondering if the PLC of the VFD could be programmed to complete this function or if a seperate Ripple Control Receiver would have to be used to interface with the VFD?

I am trying to keep the size of the unit down to a bare minimum so I was hoping that i would not need to use a cumbersome Ripple Control Receiver if possible.

The VFD I am using is the LS iC5 series - SV022iC5-1

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
