I haven't simulated a UWB antenna in HFSS. I wonder how this is achieved? Is it done through picking a frequency sweep range that is the same range of the S11 < -10dB. What will be the source port type? lumped, waveport, Gaussian pulse? I thought UWB antenna emits pulses instead of sinusoidal waves, so does that mean I only have to feed it a Gaussian pulse? Does it generate the same Antenna parameters i.e. power incident, accepted, radiated and gain.

If you could please attach an HFSS UWB example, I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

i don't have a design. I am asking for one.

this paper has ultra wide band
