Utilizing network bandwidth efficiently

Want to do an assignment to utilize the efficiency of the network by limiting the unnecessary packets in the ntwork... especially the usage bandwidth of the internet.

We were hoping to do this by limiting the umber of sessions....

Is this also possible in Windows also.

Any resourses?....
 

You have do traffic shaping or policing in your network. This is a part of QoS.
Sessions are on level 7 so you need gateway with this future.
For windows solution is ISA server or some software with this futures.
