hi,
i have bitscope serial and now i bought a notebook to use with. as it dont have serial port i want to connect via USB...some USB to serial adapters seems dont work with some peripherals, what can i observe when buy this adapter?
it have to be pcmcia or may work the usb(virtual serial)???
what is the limitations of the USB version?

buy bs50u

I think BitScope have special USB adapter for old com-ports models. Also, they have mail-list where you can ask directly their specialist. He is very fast with responce: http://www.onelist.com/community/bitscope

Ace-X.

thanks- Lee

Re: bitscope USB adapter

well, i like him, he can capture several signals than in a ordinary scope you cant like a serial conversation and shows be very efficient in lab measures.
i bought a generic usb to serial adapter and its finnaly working with my laptop. great.

I have Pocket USB BitScope (BS50U). It is pretty nice, especially when you deal with debugging of mixed-signal embedded systems. It takes only 10 square cm. on your table and fit to pocket, when you have to debug something out of your office. Also, I like its open architecture - you can write program and control capture process by yourself.

There is only one drawback - standard software does not support all hardware features of BitScope (for example, pre-trigger delay for LA mode), but they promise to release new version soon.
