Using temperature stickers to measure inductor case temperature.

i want to see if my inductor is going above 100 degc.......i want to use this temperature sticker but its too big.................can i just cut out the 104degC bit and just use that bit?

Just use common sense. Thermochromic colours can be applied in many forms, e.g. as coloured pencils or stickers. There function doesn't depend on a specific form.

...now i am wondering if i can slit the 99degc section in half and use each half on different inductors?

Basically yes. As longs as you are able to detect a color change.
