using RFID to detect a book "PROJECT DESIGN"

hi im vhey Cola, having a problem with my project im a computer engineering student,
and i was assign to design a device that can detect book using RFID technology,

the mechanics is simple i just have to detect a book with an RFID tags using a device that can detect the tags,

is there any idea how or what should i do to complete these project? thanks in advance
