PWM vs Inverter

At the moment I'm using solar panels to charge 12V batteries and was wondering whether it would be more efficient using a pulse width modulator like this **broken link removed** and some LED's instead of ordinary lighting and an inverter?

Re: PWM vs Inverter

yes, pwm will be more efficient if it's well controled.

what is the role of led's

Re: PWM vs Inverter

Excellent thank you. Also changing the frequency would that be more efficient e.g. using a low frequency and a parallel capacitor or a really high frequency without a capacitor?
