Who use Geode?

Due to my system is very similar to PC,but add some special customered function. Is it a ideal choice of Geode? If use Geode, can I directly use Windows OS, and develop our application program? namely, every work is just like on PC?

Re: Who use Geode?

Which Geode/supporting hardware???

I have a few different Geode GX1-based single board PC's, including some from thin-client workstations and an Acrosser AR-B1551; they all use the companion CS5530A chip for i/o, VGA etc.

Windows 2000/XP install and run fine on these - just needs a driver for the CS5530A, at least Win2000 does. I'm currently playing with linux on them.

Is this helpful?

Who use Geode?

FoxyRick, thank you.
Due to power and size limitation, I want use Geode GX or LX, if run windows2000 or xp, whether it is very slowly or can be acceptable? Dose AMD supply BIOS and driver support?
If use Geode NX, may be fast, but power consumption will increase, and size of PCB board will also be larger.
